This is a continuation of the previous post about the Impact Movement’s conference for college and high school students. Click here for Part 1 of the Recap.

impactprogramThe Thursday (December 30th) online broadcast of Impact 2010 The COME BACK brought the four-day conference to a close but the powerful ministering and teaching was far from over…

In the morning the attendees went to various locations in the Atlanta community, including homeless shelters and juvenile detention centers for a Day of Outreach. They first got training on witnessing through a series of funny but real skits, discussions and practice sessions. After worship with the group SoulLoved and the praise team, Pastor James White brought a message on sacrifice and obedience, and the legacy of the conference.

Afterwards everyone headed out to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people around the city, a part of the conference the online audience couldn’t see. In the meantime web host (and Vice president of the Impact Movement) Rebecca Gilmer brought more behind the scenes interviews with attendees and Impact leaders.

When the broadcast returned in the afternoon attendees had returned from the outreach which Impact relayed that hundreds were prayed for, hundreds were given food, and many received Christ. Some of the students gave their testimonies, speaking how they were moved when ministering to women, men and even children they came across during the outreach. Then Impact President Charles Gilmer closed out the conference with a message and video reflections on the past years of Impact and a review of the past four days.

level316The conference officially concluded with a colorful dance intro then an energetic concert with Impact’s music group Level 3:16 (which is now signed to Cross Movement Records). Every song had the audience moving and praising, and it was great getting to know the group members, their stories and their hearts for ministry in between each one.

Overall even the online Impact experience sparked a new passion to be involved in a ministry like Impact and to live more intentionally in fellowship and the love and truth of Christ. I thoroughly enjoyed every part I was able to be apart of from afar and it is amazing how many souls may have been reached not only directly in the conference but through the outreach and online stream.

Don’t take my word for it though, visit www.impact2010.com and then go to the broadcast and the Archives tab to access the replay of the conference for 30 days after the conference ends. Also, be sure to make plans to be at Impact 2011 in New Orleans!
