The Funktion: P4CM Records’ First Release

p4cmfunktion

Check out the Passion for Christ Movement’s latest production, presenting their version of Christian Jerk music in a creative song and video called the Funktion:

“P4CM presents its new Jerk music video! With the drought of Christian music for young people to dance to, we had to produce a song and video. The jerk culture originated in southern California but now it is spreading worldwide. Let all the young people you know that Christian Jerk music is here!”

“Jesus Christ is strong! Knowing that He stood for us, we at P4CM have decided to stand for Him. We want to provide the kids in the “Jerk” culture with music not only to dance to, but music that has been saturated with the fragrance and Gospel of Jesus Christ. We made a beat, rapped over it, produced a video to use it as a tool. A tool to relate to the “Jerk” culture and share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that we might save some by ALL POSSIBLE MEANS (1 Cor 9:22-23).” – P4CM

Do Hard Things: Join the Rebelution

dohardthings

dohardthingsbookDo you run from the hard things in life? The Rebelution movement started by brothers Brett and Alex Harris challenges you to overcome the stereotypes society has of teens by living in a way that "rebels" against the standard. Their anthem “Do Hard Things” dares teens not to waste their teen years doing things that won’t matter in the long run, but to be bold in their faith and activities.

While they themselves were teens the brothers wrote a book, Do Hard Things: A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations that lays out ways young people can utilize their teen years purposefully. Here’s a description of the book from their website:

With over 16 million hits to their website TheRebelution.com, Alex and Brett Harris are leading the charge in a growing movement of Christian young people who are rebelling against the low expectations of their culture by choosing to "do hard things" for the glory of God.

Written when they were 18 years old, Do Hard Things is the Harris twins’ revolutionary message in its purest and most compelling form, giving readers a tangible glimpse of what is possible for teens who actively resist cultural lies that limit their potential.

Combating the idea of adolescence as a vacation from responsibility, the authors weave together biblical insights, history, and modern examples to redefine the teen years as the launching pad of life and map a clear trajectory for long-term fulfillment and eternal impact.

Written by teens for teens, Do Hard Things is packed with humorous personal anecdotes, practical examples, and stories of real-life rebelutionaries in action. This rallying cry from the heart of revolution already in progress challenges the next generation to lay claim to a brighter future, starting today.

The twins (who are also the younger brothers to Josh Harris, pastor and best-selling author of “I Kissed Dating Goodbye”) are now in college and are spreading the Rebelution through conferences, online conversations and ministry partnerships. They truly have a passion for living for Christ, and want to encourage other young people to live their lives for His glory.

Do You See Growth?
We first read “Holiness” by J.C. Ryle when we were fifteen. Our older brother, Joshua, gave us both a copy as a gift and the three of us read through it together. Revisiting it five years later, we still find it encouraging and challenging — with much to say about low expectations and complacency in the life of a Christian… Read More…

Treasuring Him: Don’t Waste Your Life Sermon Jam

How much do you treasure Jesus? Do you treasure Him above your pleasure, your friends, your belongings?

"God created us to live with a single passion: to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all spheres of life. The wasted life is the life without this passion. God calls us to pray and think and dream and plan and work not to be made much of, but to make much of Him in every part of our lives." sermonjams

- John Piper

This awesome video, called "Treasuring Him", is part of the Don’t Waste Your Life Sermon Jam series from the ministry Desiring God. tripleeThis song from Trip Lee’s sophomore album “20/20″ speaks truth about not basing faith on what others have said, but on God’s word.

Description from Reach Records:

“We are constantly bombarded with messages to believe from popular culture, from churches, from friends, etc. It seems like everywhere we turn someone has something they want us to buy into. But which messages line up with the heart of God? And where do we go to filter what is a lie and what is truth?”
