Music Notes: “I Love You” and “Your Show” – Michelle Bonilla from “In Spite of Me”
“More than any diamonds you can buy me, I want a love that can’t be measured by things. I want a perfect unconditional love- Jesus is where you’ll find unconditional love.” – Michelle Bonilla
Michelle Bonilla‘s song “I Love You” from her upcoming album “In Spite of Me” is an upbeat and catchy reminder of how wide and great God’s love is. I love the funky rhythm and especially the message. Listen to the song below and see what you think:
Michelle on the meaning of the song:
“The idea of true love has been so blurred by society’s mundane and selfish values that they’ve sold a lie to girls everywhere, and the saddest part is that the girls believe it. I wanted them to see what true love looks like, and that it’s nothing like what they’ve seen or heard on TV or radio.”
Michelle will be releasing her sophomore album “In Spite of Me” on April 13th, and “I Love You” & “Your Show” will be two of the songs on the project along with 11 other new songs. Here’s a past video from Michelle, “Your Show”, that reminds us that all we are and do are for God’s glory.
