Inspiration and Music Pick: (I Will Be) Alright – Calvin Nowell and Anthony Skinner

I first heard Calvin Nowell sing this song, “Alright” written by Anthony Skinner, at the Sound Worship Conference at my church this year and was so moved by it. There’s something so special and comforting about the melody, lyrics and the inspiration Calvin shared at the conference about overcoming circumstances that may overwhelm in life:

“Your success is not based on your power to succeed but your success is based on the fact that God can’t fail. So therefore you can stand and be confident that whatever you’re going through, you’re gonna be alright…” – Calvin Nowell

Let my weakness, find your Strength / And I will be alright, I will be alright,
May all my secrets, know your Love / And I will be alright, I will be alright,
Lead my lost soul, to Your home / And I will be alright, I will be alright,
Let the darkness, drown in Light / And I will be alright, I will be alright…
– Lyrics from “Alright”
