Inspiration & Music Pick: From Haven’t Even Kissed to I’ll Wait For You Moriah Peters Sings Her Love Story
Moriah Peters shared inspiring footage from her wedding in the lyric video above for her beautiful song “I’ll Wait For You” from her album “BRAVE” featuring her husband Joel, one part of the singing duo For King and Country. Their journey is sweet and encouraging – how Moriah allowed God to write their love story and how the pair waited until their wedding day to have their first kiss, which she describes in the interview and her song, (one of my favorites from her previous CD!) “Haven’t Even Kissed” describes below. Moriah is also vulnerable and real about how the life as a music artist is more of a responsibility as it may seem:
“God wants to use our story as an example of what He can do…”

Love Song Picks: “He Say, She Say” and More from TJ Pompeo
TJ Pompeo, who we interviewed previously, writes some of the best love songs that both inspire us to believe in love and in God’s design for it. TJ recently released a new song “He Say, She Say” featuring Mathai who you might know from a previous season of The Voice. Go to http://tjpompeo.bandcamp.com to download the song and enjoy it above.
Here are some other great love songs from TJ, “If I Have To Wait (The Patient Pursuit)” one of my very favorites, and “Boy Meets Girl” from his EP of the same name. You can get them at his site above.
Word: Write the Vision Make it Clear
The vision you’ve been entrusted with isn’t just for you – other’s may rely on finding hope in it, and lives may depend on it too. What’s the message God has given you that others are waiting for you to deliver? It’s time to make it clear…
“I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
“And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:12-3
“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
“For, ‘In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.’” Hebrews 10:35-37
Speak Life Over Your Dreams: There Is Power In Your Words, Let God Breathe Through You
“From the fruit of their lips people are filled with good things, and the work of their hands brings them reward.” Proverbs 12:14
Are your mouth and hands planting the harvest you’d like to see? What words are you speaking over your dreams, your health, your relationships…your life? When your circumstances look dark, dead and decaying do you simply say what seems to be?
God spoke the world into motion and breathed life into you and I. He said, “Let there be light,” and it was so. We are made in His image and He can breathe His power through us to speak light into a dark world.
Let’s declare life and truth into the lives of others and our own, bringing hope and newness that will never fade. What will you speak to these dry bones, when the world seems cold and colorless? Decide that you will prophesy God’s word to your situation and purpose. – Julene, dreaminsoul.com
“The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them…
A Living Dream: The Film Selma Reveals Hope and Light
I went to go see the film Selma on opening day and was moved and inspired – I highly recommend this movie for anyone to see! – Julene, Editor of DreaminSoul.com
One dream can truly change the world – when people come together for a greater vision! The film SELMA brings to life a relevant glimpse of the human experience through the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and is powerful and timely – with truths this world truly needs. SELMA is a must see and the message goes deeper into the spirit and far beyond what’s on the surface of the issues we faced then and today.
Just saw Selma. Wow. It exceeded my expectations. It’s a powerful film that you MUST see
— Trip Lee (@TripLee) January 11, 2015
Why This Film is So Important: What happened in Selma we see happening today is more than a race issue – it’s a spirit issue. We are spirit having a human experience in unique, beautiful vessels that Love created. Darkness tries to keep us from seeking deeper truth and distracts us from seeing Light by having us focus on what we see – the temporary.
We’ve warred among ourselves since the beginning of history but the real issues in life are rooted in the greatest battle at hand – against darkness and principalities, for spirit and eternity. From the genesis of our world to the revelation we have now, it’s time to come back, to return to love and the way God meant our lives to be.
Thank you director Ava DuVernay, Oprah Winfrey, David Oyelowo and everyone involved for bringing us this inspiring story, life-piercing art and the vital message to live a dream of impact that focuses on a higher purpose. #Selma #forsuchatimeasThis #Glory
“I will not be focusing on what I want today – I’m focused on what God wants…His truth is marching on…” – David Oyelowo in the film SELMA

The song “Glory” from the movie, a striking collaboration between John Legend and Common, is so inspiring and has deep truths for anyone to hold on to:
Editor’s Inspiration: You and Your Dreams Were Made to Flourish
The righteous will flourish like the palm tree, they will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Planted in the house of the LORD, They will flourish in the courts of our God. Psalm 92:12-13
The beautiful thing about purpose is that everyone was born with it – the question is will you choose to fully embrace and move in it?
You’ve caught glimpses of it ever since you were a child, when your hope and wonder was still fresh and you explored the world with joy and wide-eyed awe. You’ve always imagined making an impact in the unique way you were created to – so what are you waiting for? You’ve already been chosen…
Deep down you know you weren’t made for the ordinary, you may have been rejected or always felt like a mis-fit – but it’s because you are from more royal origins. You were made to live out a story greater than your wildest dreams, grander than your highest hopes, to love boldly, sowing seeds of healing and setting others free.
This beautiful purpose crafted and written for you, and those you are connected to, is more captivating than any fairy-tale, more riveting than an epic legend or film…So why do we constantly seek outward, aimless distraction, yearning for merit-less validation, entertaining meaningless excuses and powerless foes like fear that dull and pull us away from our real-life reverie?
This year is ours to be found and to seek, to create, dance and play on purpose with childlike belief, to cultivate, thrive and flourish, to savor the love we were made for and finally live out that dream courageously. This 2015 we’re waiting in eager anticipation for you to come awake and realize the truth of who you were always meant to be…free.
But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. Psalm 52:8
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17:8
