STORY is a 2 day conference designed by creatives, for creatives, who tell stories in a variety of industries. Part instruction, part inspiration, you’ll be challenged and stretched as a creative by innovative talks and unique performances. You’ll meet new friends and connect with leading creative practitioners. But even more, you’ll be challenged to become a better storyteller. It is our mission to inspire you, so that you can in turn, inspire those around you to change the world. We want to support the creative class as you work to create meaningful art.
Ultimately, STORY is a tribe in the truest sense of the word. What makes STORY unique in the world of conferences, is that STORY attendees have a natural bent towards impacting and influencing the cultures in which they live, work, and play. Never Going Back is a moving song from Covenant Church’s new worship album “Standing” released through Integrity Music, recorded at a previous The Sound Worship Conference.
The Sound Worship Conference 2012 hosted by David and Nicole Binion at Covenant Church in Carrollton, TX, where I attend, is coming back this year June 20-23, 2012. I’ve attended some of the past conferences and have always come back spiritually full from the experience of God’s love and purpose in worship.
The daytime sessions (for registrants) feature speakers like John Brockman and John Ragsdale with break-out sessions for musicians, media leaders and others. The nighttime services are open to the public with worship lead by Kari Jobe, Martha Munizzi, the Covenant Worship team and speakers like author of “The Circle Maker” Mark Batterson, Pastor Mike Hayes, and more.

(Los Angeles, CA – August 11, 2010) — Some of the top names in the entertainment industry have joined the all star line-up for THE MERGE SUMMIT 2010. Following the great success of last year’s inaugural conference, Relevé Entertainment announced last month that THE MERGE SUMMIT 2010 will return to the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, Thursday, August 26 through Saturday, August 28, 2010. THE MERGE SUMMIT’s founder, Dr. Holly Carter, serves as chairperson and Robi Reed as co-chairperson of the event. The three-day conference integrates faith and entertainment and provides a platform and educational forum for men and women of faith to interface and partner with executives and talent in the entertainment industry from New York to Hollywood (see full schedule below).

D.C.L.A.R.E. (Dancers Called Led and Anointed to Reach Everyone) Liturgical Dance Ministry will be hosting this event in an effort to showcase the gifts that God has equipped His saints within the Ministry of Arts. The purpose of this program is to unite like-minded ministries in one venue to showcase the power of the most Holy God and participants age 3-35 that are making noteworthy strides in fostering positive outlooks on life and channeling their energy through the arts. There will be live expression through the arts by Unashamed Mime Ministry, 4 Hiz Glory Liturgical Dance Ministry, and DCLARE Liturgical Dance Ministry which are comprised of men and women, youth and adults respectively.
Anybody can praise as the Bible commands it in Psalm 150, but worship requires relationship with God and we will WORSHIP our “One God”, ask him to send HIS “One Spirit”, to perform “One MIGHTY Movement,” to save souls and break yokes in Jesus name!
The event is designed to create involvement in the community and to highlight the benefits of supporting local ministries, businesses and community organizations.
Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for children and students, or $15 for all tickets on the day of the event. Bring your ministries, your families and your friends saved and unsaved; let’s build up the kingdom!
